What to do if there is a water leak:
If you have a water leak, shut up the valves of the leaking fixture or appliance or shut off the water for the whole house in the utility room: look for a valve on the pipe that is coming from the floor. Make sure to remove the water with a mop, towels or a shop vac immediately and dry the area with a fan or a heater as soon as possible.
What to do if there is a gas leak:
If you have a gas leak, do not use any electric or electronic device, pickup a wrench or a plier and shut off the valve located outside by the gas meter and evacuate your home. When you are outside, call ATCO Gas at 1-800-511-3447, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
